A recent update to the Energy Information Administration’s “Today in Energy” blog reported that U.S solar photovoltaic module shipments went up by 33% in 2020. This represents 5.4 million more peak kW in solar energy than was sold in 2019. In addition, solar photovoltaic capacity installations in the U.S jumped 25% from 2019 to 2020: utility-scale capacity grew by 29%, and small-scale solar increased 19%.
