ACEEE City Scorecards Released

The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy just released it’s 2021 city scorecards, grading a variety of US cities on their energy efficiency practices. Chicago scored a 57.5/100 and ranked #12 out of the 100 cities that received a grade. Energy efficiency strengths included good performance in utilities and building policy, with room for improvement in energy code compliance, EV charging infrastructure, structural equity assessments, freight efficiency plans, and more.
