How to Finance Your Energy Projects
Remove the financial barriers associated with sustainability projects through Chicago C-PACE. Commercial property assessed clean energy allows building owners to lower the cost of capital and increase sustainability. C-PACE provides 100% long-term, fixed-rate financing for energy efficiency, resiliency, water conservation, and sustainable upgrades to existing buildings and new developments.
By increasing net operating income (NOI) and property value, improving aging infrastructure, advancing business developments, and aligning landlord and tenant interests, C-PACE benefits property owners, tenants, contractors, communities, and mortgage lenders. Commercial, industrial, multi-family buildings (five or more dwellings), and non-residential agriculture facilities located in Chicago are eligible for Chicago C-PACE. Examples of projects that may be financed through C-PACE include:
Building Envelope
Combined Heat and Power Systems
High Efficiency Lighting
Solar
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
HVAC upgrades

What is a Solar Feasibility Study?
Thinking about going solar? Get started with a solar feasibility study to determine if your property is suitable for a solar energy system. Whether you are interested in rooftop solar or if you have land to be used for a free-standing solar array, our team at the Smart Energy Design Assistance Center can help.
SEDAC is a public-private partnership between 360 Energy Group and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Our team can provide analysis and guidance on the suitability of land for solar development, rooftop solar considerations, and economic considerations. Especially for organizations with large portfolios of land and buildings, we use mapping and solar screening techniques to identify sites that meet solar feasibility criteria. Before getting started, consider all options for solar procurement including power purchase agreements, direct installation, and leasing of land or facilities.
The SEDAC team can also provide guidance and connect you to certified solar installers. To learn more and to access the application, visit the SEDAC web page here. For questions, please call 800-214-7954 or email info@SEDAC.org.
